Defensive PPG listed in the table below are based upon PPR points allowed on direct targets for the time period selected.
Direct targets are plays in which a defender is directly covering, and the primary defender, on a targeted receiver.
The below tables list players based on snap counts from the weeks selected. As a result, players listed on the same row are not 'matchups'.

The below is calculated using data from the last six weeks of regular season games.
Players that did not average.
The below table overviews the difference between the actual PPR points that a DEF allowed against WRs and TEs and the PPG of the players that it faced in the last six weeks. The 'Expected' columns are calculated by totaling the PPG of WRs or TEs faced in the last six weeks. The 'Actual' columns represent the points actually allowed to these players. The percentage columns display the percentage of 'Expected' actually scored. As a result, a value above 1.0 indicates that a defense allowed more points than would be expected when using PPG as a baseline. Alternatively, a value below 1.0 would indicate that a team allowed fewer points than would be expected when using PPG as a baseline. As a result, red shading indicates defenses that have been tougher for opposing pass catchers than those shaded in green. Note that only players averaging more than 5.0 PPG are included in the calculations.
Points per game numbers reported in this tool will not tie to those in other RotoViz tools. This is because they are based on the targets included in the 'Target Explorer' tab. Certain plays included in this dataset may be excluded from the plays that contribute to official points per game. Further, points scored via rushing or passing are not included, and point deductions for fumbles are not considered.
The data in this tool is based on charting stats and may not perfeclty align with official stats posted in other tools. Further, charting is a subjective process and results vary from site to site.
'Matchup Ratings' are determined by a process that reviews a receiver's alignment allocation and how strong or weak a defense has been in covering fantasy relevant players, by position, when aligned across the formation. The higher the rating, the more favorable the matchup. Said differently, a WR that often lines up in the left slot, would earn a lower rating, all other things equal, when facing a defense that has been strong against fantasy relevant WRs when lined up in the left slot than when facing a defense that has been weak against fantasy relevant WRs lined up in the left slot.
